LeBron James scored 37 points, and the Miami Heat won their second straight title by beating the San Antonio Spurs, 95-88, in a thrilling Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals in Miami on Thursday night. Miami reserve Shane Battier added 18 points, as he made six of eight three-point shots to help the Heat repeat as NBA champions.

Tim Duncan had 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs, but he missed a layup over Battier that would have tied the game with under a minute to play. San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

James made five three-pointers and corralled 12 rebounds en route to being named 2013 NBA Finals MVP. Dwyane Wade had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat. Center Chris Bosh, the last of Miami's "Big Three," did not score in the game.

Spurs guard Danny Green managed only five points, shooting 1-for-12 from the field after terrorizing the Heat earlier in the series. It was the first NBA Finals series loss in San Antonio franchise history.
