Rock and roll history was being made at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco this week in 1975. Peter Frampton played two nights at Winterland and the concerts were recorded and a few months later would be used in part to make "Frampton Comes Alive."

The album would become one of the top selling live collections. The number sold worldwide is almost 12 million copies.
