Michigan and Michigan State are under the lights at the Big House this Saturday, and there is absolutely no way you should bother going to the game.

I mean seriously, why would you even want to go?!

If you have tickets already, you might as well start up a Stubhub account, because you'll probably want to sell them after reading through the following list.

5. NIGHT GAMES ARE NO BIG DEAL

It's easy to get sucked into the hype that the 2017 match-up will be under the lights at The Big House. This really isn't that big of a deal when you put it into perspective. Sure, there have only been three other night games in Ann Arbor.

So what if this is the first time that UofM and MSU will meet under the lights? You think a little thing like "historic firsts in the biggest rivalry game of the year" is a reason to leave the couch?!

4. SIX EXTRA HOURS OF PRE-GAME PARTYING

With the game starting at 7:30 on Saturday night, that means that the U of M campus will just be a huge party for about six extra hours. Who in their right mind would want to party with a huge group of college kids for six hours before the game even starts? No thank you, my couch will hold my feet, even I don't do a kegstand.

3. THE RIVALRY IS BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION

The rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State is really not that big of a deal. Sure it's caused family members to stop speaking to one another. Yes it has been responsible for numerous fights before, during, and after games. There may even be a small amount of trash talk on the field (all in good fun of course). At the end of the day though, Michigan and Michigan State fans really do like each other . . . as long as they don't speak to or look directly at each other.

2. THESE GIRLS

You know where these girls won't be on Saturday night? At your house, on your couch. The farther away from these two you are, the better . . . right?

1. THE GAMES AREN'T EVEN THAT EXCITING

Every time these two meet, it's definitely a blowout. The game is always over before the end of the third quarter anyway. You wait all that time, and then have to fight the traffic to get home. It's not like some freak play is going to happen, with no time left on the clock that would give one team the win or anything.

If you haven't picked up on it yet, this is fairly sarcastic. There really is no good reason that you should miss this historic match-up.

Unless you have something against half naked girls with furry boots . . . if that's not your thing, then maybe the couch is a good place for you.

Michigan and Michigan State kick off in Ann Arbor at 7:30pm on ABC Saturday night.
