This is absolutely heartbreaking and could have been prevented. A 5-year-old girl Detroit girl is dead after finding a gun under a pillow at her grandparents house and fatally shooting herself.

Mariah Davis was found by her grandfather after the family heard a shot from upstairs. Mariah was found on a bed with her dolls. My heart breaks for this little girl and her family. That being said, there is no reason why this gun should not have been locked up. I do not know how you heal from something this tragic.
