A Tasty Fundraiser For The Band 3rd Degree Burns

A unique fundraiser is going to happen January 15th at Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford to raise money to fund a new grant offered by the Young Musicians Community and the band 3rd Degree Burns of Lapeer. This event is called 'A Taste of the Area' and all the revenue received goes toward the YMC’s new ‘Phoenix North Rise Above’ grant. For details on the ‘Taste of the Area’ visit atasteofthearea.com.

Gary Burns director of the YMC states ‘This event is being held in honor of one of our own, Phoenix North, and the grant that has been established due to his endurance, faith, hope and courage to 'Rise Above' his stroke three years ago. It’s awarded annually and is a renewable grant for any band member who participates in Young Musicians Community and who rises above all of life's circumstances to exemplify much of the same as our fellow band member, Phoenix North.
