information has made its way back to fans about why Alice Cooper had to break a 30-year streak without a single canceled gig.

The rocker's website confirms that Alice couldn't take the stage in Santiago, Chile last Thursday due to food poisoning.  The statement explains that Cooper felt fine when he left Phoenix, Arizona bound for Chile by way of Mexico City, but somewhere along that commute Alice started to feel "zombie-ish."  Even after a local doctor attended to him, the rock veteran had to take it easy and cancel the Santiago gig.  He was back on stage in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Saturday night.
