The second week of summer reading at the Lapeer District Library will be filled with events for the entire family. At the Marguerite deAngeli Library on 921 West Nepessing, Lunch with the Munch Bunch will take place at noon on Tuesday, July 1. The Lapeer Community Schools will offer a free lunch to everyone under 18. After lunch, children will be divided by age level and they will have stories read to them. Parents are reminded to bring a blanket on which to sit.

A family move will be shown as part of deAngeli’s Mad Science Movie Monday on June 30, at 1 p.m. Free popcorn and drinks will be available. Call the library at (810) 664-6971 to find out the title of the movie.

Arts and crafts for children who have finished kindergarten will be held at deAngeli Branch Library on Wednesday, July 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Cooking with kids is a series of healthy cooking demonstrations for first through sixth graders facilitated by the Stone Soup Food Pantry and presented by Kendra Petty. This series continues on Tuesday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. Limited space will make it a requirement to register for each weekly session. To register, call (810) 245-0500.

Adults interested in science will make practical use of that interest at the home beer brewing session with Johnny Blast from Hopman’s Beer and Wine Making Supply on Monday June 30 at 6 p.m. at the deAngeli Branch Library.
