Starting today (5/7) through May 31st make plans to visit downtown Lapeer and experience Art on Nepessing Street the month long celebration of the arts that features all forms on art on display. Part of the festivities and back by popular demand on May 18th it’s the Evening Art Stroll and Pub Crawl.

Then on the weekend of June 1st - 3rd get ready for the annual Art Festival that features a kick off with a Friday concert featuring 4 different musical acts performing on Court Street next to Gallery 194. There will be more live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday with a variety of artist on stage.

A new addition to Art on Nepessing Street on Sunday June 3rd from 9 am until noon the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer will be having an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast with Chris Cakes of Michigan. Chris Cakes is a Guinness Book World Record holder for the most pancakes flipped in an hour as well as the highest pancake tossed. Tickets are on sale now and you can buy them from any Kiwanis Club of Lapeer member or at Gallery 194. Purchased in advance for $8 per person, children 5 and under are free. A limited supply of tickets will be available at the door for $10 per person. All proceeds benefit Lapeer County children's programs.

Art on Nepessing Street benefits the Center for the Arts of Greater Lapeer and the Lapeer Main Street DDA.
