You might not know the name Jim Gordon, but you’ve probably heard his drum work. Jim was born today July 14, 1945. He would start playing the drums when he was a kid and at 17 years old was playing drums for The Everly Brothers.
Detroiter Don Was is back home this weekend in the Motor City with his All-Star Revue paying tribute to Bob Seger’s ‘Live Bullet’ album. Don a very much asked for record producer, working on projects for the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and many more including Bob Seger.

The dog in the photo needs our help. His name is Wakosha and he's a five month old Australian Shepherd puppy training to be a helper for his owner Ken Kinyon who lives in a wheelchair. Ken lost Raven his previous service dog of 16 years who passed away last year. He has been waiting for a new puppy to love and train for over a year.
The Arts have invaded downtown Lapeer this year and the Lapeer Art Association plans on keeping the celebration going this weekend at Gallery 194. The LAA will host a Day of Art in Downtown Lapeer on Saturday, July 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Rolling Stones wrapped up the European part of their "On Fire" tour on July 3rd, doing a two hour set on at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The Stones will be back with tour in October doing makeup dates of the postponed concerts in Australia and New Zealand.
It’s time for the annual Attica Days celebration on July 11, 12 and 13. Festivities begin with a spaghetti dinner and auction at the Attica Township Fire Department Hall on Peppermill Road followed by fireworks at the township park and enjoy another fireworks display on Saturday night.
