I've wanted to do radio since I was a little kid. I joined the staff at 105-FM WWCK in 1977 and stayed until we were all fired in 1988. I then joined Cars 108 WCRZ for ONE NIGHT in 1989. Please don't remind J. Patrick of this. I've worked at various stations ever since, currently afternoons on US1031 WQUS. I also do photography. Check it out on jeffholbrook.com.

Hey Fools – ‘Love’ The Beatles – Today’s Vinyl Vault
The LOVE project that the Beatles producer, George Martin and his son Giles created is already nearly 6 years old. It still seems like a recent release to me, solidifying the fact that the Beatles music remains timeless. The Cirque du Soleil show that the music was intended for is STILL playing in Vegas...

All You Zombies – Don’t Miss Today’s Vinyl Vault!
The Hooters, having nothing to do with orange hot pants or sub par restaurant food, were an American pop rock act that peaked during the 1980's. I should say "are" because the founding members still maintain the band now. Their biggest hit came in 1985, And We Danced, that I think most would remember...

Steppenwolf Fans – Don’t Miss Today’s Vinyl Vault
The "Way Back Machine" heads to 1969 today when John Kay was firmly planted in anti-war mode. Of course, who wasn't then, but Steppenwolf were particularly good at it. The lengthy title track Monster not only deals with war, but everything else that was (and is) wrong too...

Forgotten Yes – Today’s Vinyl Vault
By 1977, the days of early 70's progressive rock were beginning to wane, as was the career of Yes. They released their hit album 'Going For The One' that year, but its success paled in comparison to the earlier stuff, and possibly, one good reason why you never hear anything from it anymore...
