I've wanted to do radio since I was a little kid. I joined the staff at 105-FM WWCK in 1977 and stayed until we were all fired in 1988. I then joined Cars 108 WCRZ for ONE NIGHT in 1989. Please don't remind J. Patrick of this. I've worked at various stations ever since, currently afternoons on US1031 WQUS. I also do photography. Check it out on jeffholbrook.com.

Acoustical Townshend – Today’s Vinyl Vault
A various artists package came out in 1979 containing highlights from the Secret Policeman's Ball concert that year. Pete Townshend was the most popular attraction, so naturally, his parts got the most attention. You may recall his acoustic version of Won't Get Fooled Again due to the fact that we played it around the clock, or so it seemed...

Aerosmith fans will love hearing the haunting Seasons of Wither on today's Vinyl Vault. It's been a fan fave since it's release in 1974 and is actually one of Steven Tyler's favorite Aersomith songs. The band put it back into their live shows recently, having axed it during the 80's and 90's...

Higher Than a Sky Pilot – Animals on the Vault
Some of the Animals latter day work today, firmly planted in counter culture anti war hippy dippy heaven. Eric Burden and the boys actually moved to the west coast during the late 1960's and became part of it. Proof is today's gem Sky Pilot, a bag pipe charged piece of history that the boys had a huge hit with, so lengthy it took both sides of a 45rpm...

Shelter From The Storm – Today’s Vinyl Vault
By the mid 1970's, Bob Dylan's magic days seemed a few years behind him. Nobody, possibly even him, expected another big hit album - but that's exactly what happened with 1975's Blood On The Tracks, thanks mostly to the popular single Tangled Up In Blue...
