It’s the reason this year’s show sold out in minutes — even when tickets had a face value upwards of $400.
Kiss usually have the market cornered when it comes to selling imaginative rock memorabilia and one-of-a-kind Kiss-branded items, but even Gene Simmons must bow down to Ted Nugent on this one. Right-wing rocker and hunting enthusiast Nugent has signed a licensing deal with Pierce Munitions, LLC, makers of high-quality hunting ammunition, to create a line of Nugent-branded bullets called Ted Nugent Hi-Performance Hunting Ammunition.
In addition to announcing plans to hit the road in 2012, Van Halen have also seemed to hint at details of their much-anticipated reunion album. The disc could very well hit stores Feb. 7, if the graphic to the left is any indication of what the band has in store for fans.
Could Motley Crue‘s upcoming residency in Las Vegas be Vince Neil‘s last shows with the band? It’s a distinct possibility, as the singer says he’s contemplating leaving the Crue following the Sin City stint, which runs Feb. 3-19 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Metallica have released an EP titled ‘Beyond Magnetic’ that features roughly-mixed versions of four tracks that were recorded for 2008′s ‘Death Magnetic’ but ultimately didn’t end up on the final album. Metallica debuted the songs live last week during four special 30th anniversary concerts at San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore Theater.

Former Metallica member/current Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine was also a special guest during the show, along with other former members Jason Newstead, Lloyd Grant, Ron McGovney and Hugh Tanner.
The guest parade continued Friday night when Metallica hit the stage of San Francisco’s Fillmore Theater for the third of four special concerts there to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary. Following two other star-studded gigs earlier in the week, Metallica were joined onstage this time around by Judas Priest singer Rob Halford, Danzig / Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig and Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s Gary Rossington.
The recent announcement that Madonna will be performing during the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show in February certainly doesn’t sit well with Gene Simmons. The Kiss singer has bashed Madge’s involvement, insisting that the show would be better of with a “real band.”
Metallica treated the 1,200 lucky fans who found their way inside the Fillmore in San Francisco Monday (Dec. 5) to a memorable night as the band kicked off its 30th anniversary celebration with the first of four special concerts at the legendary venue. Monday’s 20-song set offeried few hits but plenty in the way of of rarities and surprises.
