I was born and raised in Flint, attending Holy Redeemer High School, Mott Community College, and I have degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Michigan-Flint. I'm also a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1968-1972, and an avid racquetball player that enjoys his workouts at Hurley Health & Fitness Center. I joined Cars 108 and work in multiple roles as Operations Manager and Program Director. I assumed the Program Director role for WQUS (US1031) in 2012.

Owners Decide Not To Rebuild After Downtown Lapeer Fire

The fire on November 12, 2013 in downtown Lapeer, destroyed the building near the Pix Theater that included four apartments and the  Lost Treasures store, a consignment and antique shop on west Nepessing. The fire also caused extensive damage to Burke's Flowers, that has since relocated across the street while repairs are being made. Owners of the burned building have decided not to rebuild and are working with city administrators to finance the demolition.

Attica Man Takes A Plea for Father’s Day Shooting

Zackary E. Sofikitis of Attica, 35, has pleaded no contest to receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, which is a ten-year felony, and discharging a firearm in or at a building, a four-year felony, and being a habitual offender second conviction, because of a an Oakland County larceny conviction in the 90's. A no contest plea is essentially a guilty plea when it come to the sentencing process.

Lapeer Bank Robber Nabbed-Suspect Is A Shocker

The Lapeer County Bank & Trust branch on the northwest corner of Davison and Elba roads was robbed last Thursday afternoon in a bizarre set of circumstances involving a local businessman. Dustin Jenkins, 31, the owner of Elite Feet was arraigned Friday afternoon on charges including three counts of armed robbery, one count of bank robbery, three counts of unlawful imprisonment (holding people against their will), and one count of unlawful driving away of an automobile.

‘Frost Law’ Restrictions Coming Soon In Lapeer County

The term "frost law" refers to the amount of frost that is remaining in the ground. With the warming of the ground as spring approaches, it can cause the pavement to heave and buckle, thus creating potholes and drops that can have a  damaging effect on wheels and vehicles.
