I was born and raised in Flint, attending Holy Redeemer High School, Mott Community College, and I have degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Michigan-Flint. I'm also a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1968-1972, and an avid racquetball player that enjoys his workouts at Hurley Health & Fitness Center. I joined Cars 108 and work in multiple roles as Operations Manager and Program Director. I assumed the Program Director role for WQUS (US1031) in 2012.

There are still hurdles to clear as far as renovations and structural analysis, but the wheels are turning on getting the structure at 303 W. Nepessing, next to the former Abruzzo's, ready.

Beginning This Week: ‘Art On Nepessing St.’ in Lapeer

Thursday, April 24th is the kickoff to "Art on Nepesssing St", a celebration of the arts in Historic Downtown Lapeer! It includes exciting exhibits of high quality art, displayed in businesses in downtown Lapeer and donated to The Center for the Arts of Greater Lapeer, and the Lapeer Downtown Business Association. The two and a half week event concludes with an Arts Festival in downtown Lapeer and a special closing gala where the donated artwork is raffled off.

McLaren To Build Urgent Care in Imlay City

A McLaren Health Care facility is headed toward Lapeer counties east side. The owner of the Imlay City Plaza will appear before the Imlay City Planning Commission on April 22nd for special land-use approval and a preliminary site plan approval for a 36,000 squarefoot medical plaza on the south side of of the shopping center.

‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive Critical to LICA

The Lapeer Interfaith Community Association (LICA) is counting on the letter carriers' Stamp Out Hunger food drive to help fill the pantry shelves that have been depleted from the high demand.The food drive is scheduled for May 10th and donations can be be left in a bag by your mailbox and will be collected by your letter carrier when your mail is delivered. The LICA is hoping it is going to be enough. Ann Pfeifle, chairperson for LICA says, "We are absolutely snowed under with requests for food".

FAN (Families Against Narcotics) Roll Out a Fundraiser Tomorrow

FAN is your connection for information, resources, and support in the battle against narcotics, and this weekend they are sponsoring a fundraising event at Gerlach's Bowling center in Lapeer. Their mission is to raise awareness of prescription opiate drug abuse epidemic in our community. They hope to reduce the stigma and change the face of addiction, to educate about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and it's potential to lead some to illegal narcotic use and to support those affected by drug abuse or addiction.
