August 13, 1977, was a sad day for Canadian rockers they were shocked to hear the news that Bachman-Turner Overdrive were breaking up. The band with its roots originating when Randy Bachman started the group after he left The Guess Who.

B.T.O.’s first four albums were successful but after the fifth album came out their popularity faded away. Bachman-Turner Overdrive lasted initially from 1973 to this day in 1977.
