October 15, 2012 The Old Stove Cafeteria in downtown Lapeer is hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 17th. from 5-8 pm. Tickets are just $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids under 5.
All profits will benefit Area 13, Special Olympics Cycling Team, representing Lapeer and Genesee counties. Funds are needed for uniforms, and bike repairs.

October 9, 2012 The Zonta Club of Lapeer Area will be having their 17th annual Fantasy Forest is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 along the trail through Rowden Park,in Lapeer. This family event focuses on the fantasy side of Halloween instead of the scary. Children will receive a bag in which to collect treats. As they walk through the park, they will visit stations offering activities, games and Halloween goodies.
