The 66th annual “Kiwanis Kapers” variety show, performed by the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer, shows tonight (5/1) at 7 pm and Friday and Saturday (5/2, 5/3) at 8 pm. All three productions take place at the Lapeer East High School auditorium.

Lapeer’s Adoptable Animals fundraiser is happening on Saturday (4/26) at Hideaway Lanes on Howland Road in Almont. “Pins for Paws Bowling” gets underway with registration at 6 pm. Bowling and the Euchre tournament both starting at 7 pm.
The 3rd Annual Inspiring Hearts for Autism Fundraiser Dinner hosted by Lapeer Area Sisters in Service will be this Saturday, April 26 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Inspiring Hearts for Autism Center located at 2020 Imlay City Road, Lapeer. The fundraiser dinner menu will include a taco bar, desserts, punch and coffee.

Their mission is to raise awareness of prescription opiate drug abuse epidemic in our community. They hope to reduce the stigma and change the face of addiction, to educate about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and it's potential to lead some to illegal narcotic use and to support those affected by drug abuse or addiction.
