June 29, 2012 North Branch Days begins on Saturday with a 5K walk/run. Registration at 7 a.m. and the race at 8 a.m. The annual children’s parade will be held at 11 a.m. in downtown. The Bump and Run will be held at Lion’s Field on Saturday starting at 7 p.m., along with BMX races during intermission.
June 27, 2012 Join your local law enforcers July 7th in the Cops for the Community 5k Run/Walk. It’s being brought to you by the Lapeer City Police Officers Charitable Fund and begins at 9 am. The race starts and finishes by Lapeer East High School on S. Saginaw.
June 26, 2012 The Imlay City DDA the Summer Movie and Concert Series continues tonight at the Lamb Steele Park, behind City Hall, the movies begin at dusk while concerts get underway at 7:00. Tonight in concert it’s “Rich Eddy's Rockin' Oldies Band” performing the great music of the 1950's and 1960's.
June 21, 2012 Firefighters from all over Michigan are heading to Lapeer this weekend for the Michigan State Firemen’s Association’s 137th Annual Conference. The Lapeer County Fire Association is hosting the gathering of an estimated 400 firefighters.
All you have to do is listen for a few moments in any given neighborhood for the pop and crackle of July 4th celebrations - even if it's not July 4th! Fireworks have gone past just being a 4th trademark
