Take some time today to possibility save a life. The American Red Cross Blood Drive is goin on today from 1pm until 6:45pm at the Arcadia Township Hall in Lum on Spencer Street.
Join me all this week in the morning for your chance to win tickets to the PIX theater in downtown Lapeer for "Storytime with Santa" and "Christmas at the PIX". Both shows will be happening at the PIX next Saturday December 12th.
Make plans to head over to Silverwood and enjoy a great fish dinner at Silverwood United Methodist Church this Friday, December 7. The Fish Fry Dinner will be served from 5:30 PM to 7 PM and includes fish, potatoes, salad and dessert.

Santa officially arrives on Saturday with the Christmas Parade getting underway at 11am.
Stop by Almont this Saturday for Holly Day and enjoy some Christmas spirit.
Enjoy the 15th annual Holly Day Light Parade vehicles, tractors, floats decked out with colorful holiday lighting. The parade begins at 7 p.m.
Before the parade join in for Christmas carols and a holiday sing-along at the Pocket Park.
Go nuts and help out a great organization the Suncrest Auxiliary by purchasing trail mix, walnuts, mixed nuts, cashews, pistachios, pecans,almonds, chocolate covered peanuts and chocolate covered raisins.

Mark your calendars for the Winter Playground and Parade on December 8th from 11AM-2PM in downtown Imlay City . There will be a warming station with hot drinks and snacks, a craft area, ice sculpting demonstrations, horse-drawn wagon rides and the parade.
flickr.comThe Lapeer Elks Lodge will be serving a free buffet-style dinner, on Thanksgiving Day from 1-3 p.m. at the lodge on Nepessing Street. Visitors can enjoy turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, stuffing, dessert, coffee and everything else that comes with the traditional holiday feast.
Walk for Warmth Soup Cook Off will be happening on Friday (11/16) from 4:30 until 7pm at the Center Building in Lapeer. Proceeds help local families in need with heating assistance.
Lapeer County churches, food banks and soup kitchens will be bringing their Best soups for to enjoy and vote on. Plus there's a dessert table too.
