Signs of Spring in Lapeer County: The Robins & Orange Construction Barrels

Signs and orange barrels will start appearing on M-24 in the City of Lapeer starting this week according to the Michigan Department of Transportation with traffic control starting next week. This year’s work will be from Demille to Nepessing. You will not be able to make a left hand turn in the construction zone except at signals. Lapeer’s Adoptable Animals Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Lapeer’s Adoptable Animals works toward helping homeless animals and advocates for the community of Lapeer County. They’re currently accepting donations to be raffled off at their All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on April 18 (4/18) at the Lapeer VFW Post on Daley Road from 4 PM – 8 PM. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. There will be 50/50 raffles, raffles and LAA apparel for sale.

Lapeer County Man Dies in Tree-Cutting Accident

Lapeer County Central Dispatch reports in the following press release that a Columbiaville man has died: On Wednesday 04-01-2015 at 3:06 PM, Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Caster Drive in Attica for an individual was that injured while cutting down a tree. Jeremy Machiela age 35 from Columbiaville and four family members were removing two trees at a privately owned residence.
