Rob and Shari Burda held a "Family Service Day" last Saturday at their business, "Rob's Service". To show appreciation to the community, employees donated their time and energy to provide free automotive service and repair to families in the Lapeer community who are in need.
Police arrested a man just three months after his release from prison for allegedly stealing two cartons of cigarettes. Metamora police arrested Jeffrey Sass, 34 after going to a home on Hosner Road to question Sass about a shoplifting incident earlier in the day.
It's the "Lapeer Community Spring Expo" this Sunday, April 27, from 11 am until 4 pm at Lapeer East High School. Vendors, food, free kids activities, door prizes throughout the day, entertainment and Free admission.

A McLaren Health Care facility is headed toward Lapeer counties east side. The owner of the Imlay City Plaza will appear before the Imlay City Planning Commission on April 22nd for special land-use approval and a preliminary site plan approval for a 36,000 squarefoot medical plaza on the south side of of the shopping center.
Lapeer High School Class of 1966 is offering up a tasty Pure Michigan day trip. You don't have to be a member of the Lapeer High School Class of '66, everyone is invited to join them for a visit to a classmate's winery in Rose City on Saturday, May 10th.
Well it finally happened. It is official the old record amount 82.9 inches, set in the 1974-75 season for snowfall has been broken. According to the National Weather Service in Flint at 2 a.m. Tuesday, eight-tenths of an inch fell in Flint, pushing the seasonal total to 83.4 inches.
