It wasn't too long ago that work on a 'Tron 3,' the sequel to 2010's Disney action flick 'Tron: Legacy,' was announced with 'Eragon' writer Jesse Wigutow whipping up a script treatment. Considering how poor the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie performed, it wasn't that big of a surprise that the studio decided to swap out their writing team, but there is one person from 'Legacy' Disney will definitely be sticking with, and that's Garrett Hedlund, aka Sam Flynn himself.

Graham Parker and the Rumour played the Roxy in Los Angeles for the first time in 30 years on Wednesday night (Dec. 12), headlining a three-act 'This is 40' soundtrack release party. After shorter sets by Ryan Adams and Lindsey Buckingham, Parker's band began a 22-song set that included songs from 'Howlin' Wind (1976)' through 'Three Chords Good' (2012).

On the White House's website there is a "We The People" section, which allows citizens to "petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country." If any submitted petition gets 25,000 E-signatures, then the White House will review the proposal.

Our favorite of these petitions this month has to be from Colorado man “John D" who, as we reported last week, wants the government to secure resources and funding to begin the construction of a Death Star by 2016.

There was only one new release, but it was a dump that bombed rather spectacularly and the rest of the line-up is essentially the same as last week, with only a few titles shuffling around. 'Crossfire Hurricane,' the new documentary on the Rolling Stones, will be headed to DVD and Blu-Ray release early next year. Directed by Brett Morgen, the highly acclaimed documentary premiered last month in select theaters as well as multiple airings on HBO. The film features lots of rare and previously unseen footage along with interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and former Stones Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor, as well as the late Brian Jones.

'Jumanji' was that mid-90s movie with Robin Williams that was ostensibly based on a board game but actually based on a book. It's a fine enough movie that made some money and showed off what were, at the time, some impressive visual FX. But we've come a long way since 1995 and now we're gonna get a new 'Jumanji' movie that will be updating for "modern times."

The upcoming Sundance Film Festival will feature the world premiere of 'History of the Eagles, Part 1,' a fully authorized documentary that chronicles the early history of the band. The screening will take place at the Eccles Theater in Park City, Utah on Jan. 19, 2013 at 9:45PM.
