The Beatles’ ‘Yellow Submarine’ Hitting Theaters Nationwide
A restored and remastered edition of the animated Beatles film ‘Yellow Submarine’ will be making the rounds at movie houses around the country prior to its June 5 release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Beginning May 5, ‘Yellow Submarine’ will make its way across the country for brief, limited engagements.

When Tom Cruise starred in ‘Risky Business,’ he only had to lip-sync the Bob Seger classic ‘Old Time Rock & Roll.’
But in the upcoming big-screen version of the Broadway hit ‘Rock of Ages,’ Cruise actually sings hits by Guns N’ Roses and Def Leppard — and those renditions are part of the movie’s soundtrack, due June 5.

The Beatles' first U.S. concert was a 12-song set at the Washington Coliseum on February 11, 1964 before a crowd of over 8,000. The performance was shot with an eight-camera crew and shown one month later via closed-circuit broadcast in movie theaters across America.

When Guns N’ Roses were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month, some people weren’t terribly happy that Matt Sorum was included, saying that since he didn’t join GnR until 1990, he missed the mayhem of their early years and rise to fame with ‘Appetite for Destruction.’
Still, he seems to have experienced plenty of GnR madness — enough, in fact, that he says he’s considering writing a movie about it.
