A concerned neighbor called Kent County Animal Control last week about an illegal tiger in a backyard. From a safe distance, officers found exactly what the caller had described resting in the driveway of a vacant home. Animal Control Officer Joe Dainelis went back to his vehicle to get a ring pole and notified dispatch that police officers would be needed on scene to help manage the situation. When he got closer he realized the ‘illegal exotic animal’ was a stuffed animal.
An 8-year-old boy claimed to be injured following an overly aggressive hug from Pluto at Disneyland. After refusing a trip to the first aid station, he was transported to a nearby hospital where doctors said he had suffered severe muscle strain. A representative from the theme park is said to have visited the boy and his mother at the hospital offering to pick up the bill and informing them that Pluto had been disciplined.
A 28-year old man is facing charges after he was caught spying on women using a porta-potty during little league games in Ypsilanti Township. The suspect cut a hole through the side of the portable toilet, waited nearby and snapped pictures of the women when he saw them go in.
