Celebrate Cheese Today

Tim Boyle,Getty Images News

It’s National Cheese Lover’s Day. If you’re an average American you’re going to eat something like 31 pounds of cheese this year. Looking at world statistics I see the French beat us in chowing down on Cheese, annually they ingest 50 pounds.

If you thought that America cheese and Velveeta was it when it came to cheese. There’s much more out there at least than 900 known cheeses in the world. Some examples there’s ricotta, feta, gouda, cheddar, swiss, gorgonzola, limburger, and brie just to name a few.

A grilled cheese sandwich sounds good to me right now.
