Matt Van Dyk and the Spartans of MSU are taking on Penn State this afternoon in the Big Ten Tournament. Matt from Imlay City has quite the story about becoming part of the Michigan State Basketball team.
This walk on from Lapeer County moved up getting a scholarship and has become one of the major parts of the Spartan squad.
According to scout.com, MSU coach Tom Izzo had this to say about Matt,“I don’t know of another player I have enjoyed coaching more than him. He has impacted me. Long after I am done I will be able to say he made a difference in me. He is a special guy.”
