When 25-year-old Hayden Carlo was recently pulled over in Plano, Texas, for an expired registration sticker on his car, he naturally got a ticket. But the cop who issued the citation also did something entirely unexpected -- he gave Carlo $100 so he could afford the registration fee.

Carlo, a father of two, reportedly told the cop he didn't have the money to keep his registration up-to-date. "It was either feed my kids or get my registration done," he said.

So, the police officer wrapped the ticket around a $100 bill and gave the money to Carlo out of the kindness of his heart. Needless to say, the driver was astonished.

"He helped me out when I needed it, and I appreciate that," Carlo said. "I’ll never forget the man. It definitely restored my faith in God."

The police officer doesn't want to be identified, but Plano Police Department spokesman David Tilley said the officer simply thought Carlo needed the money more than he did.

What do you think of the cop's kind gesture?
