It is almost decision time for the defense in the Casey Anthony trial. Accused of first degree murder of her two year old daughter, Casey is facing a mountain of circumstantial evidence. Her defense team has not really produced much to give the jury much to think about, or to raise a "reasonable doubt" in their minds. Will Casey take the stand?

It is rare in murder trials for the defendant to step into the witness box, however, in this particular case she might not have much choice. In order to save her from a possible death penalty conviction, the defense needs to portray her as a real person instead of the lying, conniving, party girl that testimony has showcased.

I've watched most of the trial and followed it daily, and my "gut" feeling is that Casey Anthony will HAVE to take the stand if she has any hope of avoiding the gas chamber. You never can tell what a jury will do, but in this case I think the evidence is strong enough to convict her of murder in the first degree.
