1974.  Exit: Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.  Enter: David Coverdale and Glen Hughes.  Born: Deep Purple mark III, a system fans came up with to designate the different line-ups.  Mark II, with Gillan and Glover, was the most successful with Machine Head in 1972.  Coverdale's version led the band in a more bluesy direction while keeping the emphasis on volume.  They made two albums, one of which we're into today with Might Just Take Your Life, a hit from the Burn album.  Remember it?  Come by and see around 5:20pm.  Down in Florida?  Listen live on-line.
