How well do you think the The Michigan Department of Natural Resources(DNR) did in increasing your awareness and understanding of wolves and wolf-related issues in the last six years? Developing and implementing a responsible policy regarding public harvest of wolves? You have until next Thursday (12/11) to take an online survey and let them know. Your input is important and you should consult the 2008 Plan before commenting according to 2006 Michigan Wolf Management Roundtable member, Nancy Warren. The plan and the survey can be accessed through the DNR website at michigan.gov/dnr.

"The DNR is asking for your comments on how well they have implemented the Wolf Management Plan adopted in 2008" says Warren who is the Great Lakes Regional Director of the National Wolfwatcher Coalition and helped develop the plan. "The plan places a strong emphasis on education and outreach as well as countering misinformation and addressing perceived threats caused by wolves. Your input will be extremely important as the DNR moves towards updating this plan. Watch a recent interview with her from TV 6/FOX UP on youtube.
