The annual Pumpkin Fest will be held in the basement of Gallery 194, on the corner of Nepessing and Court streets, from 10 a.m. to noon. Children and families can visit the art gallery to pick out a free pumpkin and carve it or decorate it to make the perfect jack o’ lantern to take home.

Downtown businesses will have cardboard pumpkins in their windows to mark their involvement in the Treat Walk, which lasts from noon to 2 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their children to downtown Lapeer to participate in the free trick or treat event.

After the Treat Walk, the PIX Theatre will be presenting the Halloween Magic Show with magician Baffling Bill at 2:30 p.m. The magic show, said the well-known magician, will be a mix of spooky and light hearted magic tricks that will entertain children and adults alike.

Tickets for Baffling Bill’s Halloween Magic Show are $5 per person and are available at the PIX Box Office or at the door on Saturday. For more information about the show, call the PIX Theatre at 810-664-4824 or go online to www.pixlapeer.org.
