Downtown Lapeer Street Construction On Track

The major construction in downtown Lapeer is on time with it's scheduled plans. The reconstruction of Court Street that runs between Nepessing and the bridge that runs over Farmer's Creek is proceeding as planned. The Lapeer Department of Public Works reports that contractors have finished installing new water and sanitary pipes on Court Street and grading is underway. More projects are involved.

Underground wiring has been finalized for new decorative lamps downtown, and the guides to new sidewalks and curbing are also in place. Lapeer is looking better everyday as the construction continues.
