John Lennon's "debut proper" came in late 1970.  Although he released a few experimental things before, the Plastic Ono Band project was the first real solo album and many critics and fans still think it's one of his best.  On it, a stripped down acoustical take on working class people being pushed into middle class situations, as Lennon sometimes put it in interviews.  Due to Lennon's insistence on 4-letter words it hardly ever got on the air.  Well, I've reversed them so it's safe.  Brings the kids!  5:20 today on the Vinyl Vault.
