Adopt-A-Pet in Fenton is asking the public for donations to help combat the spread of Parvo at the non-profit facility. At the moment, they are caring for five puppies suffering from the highly contagious illness.

According to PetMD, Parvo (Canine Parvovirus) is a highly contagious viral illness that affects dogs. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, and lack of appetite. Those poor little pups. You can help by donating bleach, 33 and 55-gallon trash bags, Gerber Step 2 meat-only baby food (no mixes) and blankets. Monetary donations are also being accepted.
