Food truck festival fun starts Monday, May 14, from 4 PM - 8:30 PM with the first 2nd Monday Food Truck Fest in downtown Lapeer. The festival will be held on a city parking lot between Court and Saginaw Streets with the trucks to be parked on the south side of the lot along Farmers Creek along Annrook Park. The festival will take place on the second Monday in May 14, June 9, July 9 and September 10 and coincides with the Monday Night Car Cruise. In case of rain the festival will be held the following Monday.
A variety of vendors from Lapeer, Genesee, Oakland and Macomb Counties will be in attendance including Concho Pearl Texas BBQ (Oxford), Crepe Day-Twah Mobile Creperie (Shelby Township), HQ Vigilante Food Truck (Owosso), Hungry Hut (North Branch), JB's Hut, The Cheese Trap (Frankenmuth) and Ya Eat Yet? Fat Body Food Wagon (Lapeer).
Take a short walk over the bridge from the food trucks to sit at picnic tables under the pavilion in Annrook Park or stroll up to Nepessing Street to the Lapeer Downtown Development Authority's Monday Night Car Cruise on Nepessing Street between Mason and Pine Streets. The cruise is held every Monday night beginning May 7 and runs through September 10 from 5 PM - 9 PM excluding Mondays on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
