Lindsey Buckingham is weighing in on the state of pop today.  Lindsey tells Variety.com the music industry's finally figuring out that melody is an ingredient to success.  The Fleetwood Mac frontman acknowledges that his band's impacted generations of musicians. However, Lindsey admits it feels nice to know that, quote, "people still remember what you've done."  Fleetwood Mac, meanwhile, is enjoying a bump in sales of its catalog after the Fox hit "Glee" performed tracks from the band's "Rumours" album on last week's episode.

Lindsey has a solo record on the way.   His project "Seeds We Sow" is due at the end of this summer.
