Flint Cultural Center Academy Accepting Enrollment Applications Now

The new Flint Cultural Center Academy is ready to start filling their classrooms with prospective students.

The FCCA is holding an open application period for the 2019-2020 school year, but the capacity is only going to be about 300 students to start off. That means that the applications will be put into a lottery according to Flintside.

The FCCA posted on their Facebook page about the upcoming application period.

The school is still under construction on the Flint Cultural Center campus, and is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2019 school year.

The first round of applications will be accepted until April 26th, 2019. Then 300 students will be randomly selected to attend the K-5 school. Eventually the FCCA plans to offer K-8 classes with a total of about 670 students. Once a student is enrolled, they are able to continue their education year after year without resubmitting an application.

The school is tuition free, and available to any Genesee County residents. One of the coolest parts about the school is that students will spend time each day in a different Cultural Center building as part of the curriculum.
