Free Local Summer Concerts Tonight

Grab your lawnchair or a blanket and enjoy free music outside in Lapeer and Almont. The Summer Concert Series continues on the courthouse lawn in downtown Lapeer tonight with the one man band of Ray Champion, playing songs from the 1930s to contemporary hits. The last three concerts in Lapeer this summer will be the Genesee Ramblers on July 26, the vintage country band Copper Creek on Aug. 2, and acoustic guitarist and performer Chris Eilersen on Aug. 9.

Stop by and check out the free concert in Almont tonight with  gospel music from Crossover Trio. The gospel band Higher Ground will perform next week on July 26. The final concert August 2, will feature rock music with Stage Jenkins, along with a children’s program. The concerts run from 7-8:30 p.m. in Almont Park on Water Street, east of Van Dyke.
