The band Traffic had a hand full of hits, mostly in their native England.  They did, however, make a mark here in the states with their debut in 1967, 'Mr. Fantasy' and 1971's blockbuster 'Low Spark of High Heeled Boys', which I think may have been their peak.  Two very strong albums and one very respected member, Steve Winwood, was enough to keep this band seeming larger than life for several years, even well past their due.  And, thanks to Winwood's success as a solo artist, the old Traffic sound still holds up.  Come on by for fan fave and 'Low Spark' highlight 'Rock & Roll Stew' on today's Vault.  The "good" kind of Friday Traffic!
