Gas Station Robbery Reported In Imlay City

Imlay City Police Department report that at 2:33am on Monday morning December 18, 2017, a suspect entered the Speedway gas station at Cedar Street and Newark Road with his face covered. The suspect handed the cashier a plastic grocery bag and demanded money. The clerk placed an undisclosed amount of cash in to the bag. The suspect then demanded money from the other cash registers, the clerk told the suspect they would have to go into the back room, the suspect fled. The suspect was last seen running east from the store.
According to Imlay City Police Department Facebook page the suspect had earlier entered the Speedway gas station in Almont on M-53 at approximately at 2:10 am but left without incident after being questioned by a clerk.
Suspect appears to be of an average or slender build wearing a green colored Carhart style hooded jacket, blue jeans and a black mask.
