General Motors is dealing with a massive recall, and there are a lot steps involved in getting the parts replaced. 13 deaths have prompted 2.2 million cars to be recalled. That means 2.2 million replacement parts, and every one of them go through Burton on their journey.

The parts aren't made in Burton, just packaged. Then they are sent to Pontiac for distribution in Michigan. Phase one of the recall is currently underway to replace the ignition switches in 2007 and older models. Owners of 2008 and newer models will get recall letters in the mail in early May.
