Grow Your Own Food

Lapeer County MSU Extension wants to teach you more about producing some of your own food.  Knowing how to grow your own will give you the freshest, most nutritious food as well as the satisfaction of mastering new skills.
Small Fruit-April 21- Learn how to grow strawberries, raspberries (morning session) and grapes, (afternoon session) in the small garden. Taught by Jenny Burrows. 10 am to 3 pm. 1 session $20. Both sessions and lunch only $35.
Vegetables-April 28- Learn how to grow the freshest and tastiest vegetables from Kim Willis. The class is from 10 am to 2:30 pm and covers all aspects of growing vegetables. Cost $25 includes lunch. Free seed samples included.
Herbs- Come to herb day on May 5 and listen to experts Coleen French and Jim McDonald talk about how to grow and use herbs. This class costs $40 which includes lunch.
