One of the most unique blues rock belters of our time, Mr. Joe Cocker on today's Vinyl Vault, dating back to 1972.  It was a weird time during Cocker's long storied career, but most of those stories seem weird anyway, so no surprise.  He was at the top of his game, but for some reason, nose diving in a drug and alcohol haze he barely lived through, that lasted nearly the entire 1970's.  We're into a compilation of sorts today, 1972's self titled album which included a few new things but mostly unused older stuff, about all the producers could get out of him.  The power of High Time We Went barely shows any problems.  5:20pm.  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.

At left, Cocker today.
