Holds Onto Job

You’d think that Brad Ausmus would loose his job at the end of a season where Ian Kinsler made bizarre decisions in the field, Anthony Gose forgot how many outs there were and David Price didn’t know he was expected to go back into a game. But Tigers GM Al Avila says he’ll retain Ausmus as manager of the Tigers for 2016. He admitted it’s been a disappointing year but says injuries were to blame. “From Day 1 we didn't have a chance. This has been a flawed team coming out of spring training because of all the injuries” he explained. “Right off the bat we faced adversity right there, and it didn't get any better, it got worse.”
