The 1980s were one of the best decades for movies, but how familiar are you with the Golden Era of John Hughes? Find out by taking this 80s movie quiz now!

Bringin' Back the 80s Fest is just a few weeks away, and we've been thinking about the decade that gave us Marty McFly and Def Leppard a lot lately. One of our favorite parts about the 1980s was the movies. There were so many classic films that came out in that 10 year span, many of which were remade with disappointing results.

There was a certain type of magic in that era of films that Hollywood was never able to replicate. Movies like 'Gremlins,' 'The Breakfast Club,' 'Goonies,' and 'E.T.' captured our hearts and minds, while others like 'Back to the Future,' 'Return of the Jedi,' and 'Big Trouble in Little China' excited our imaginations, and inspired an entire generation of kids to question what was possible. It is that beating heart that is largely absent from today's big-budget, computer-animated, summer blockbusters, that spend more time creating giant robots in computers than they do on getting a heartfelt performance from the actual human cast. In short -- they don't make 'em like they used to.

While not all of the special effects from the era hold up, there's a certain feeling you get from 80s films that you don't get from those other eras. It is that exact reason that we're so fond of films from the decade. That fondness led us to this quiz, which had us questioning our familiarity with 80s movies.
