Vinyl records sales continue to go up thanks in part to the millennials. The Recording Industry Association of America says that in 2014, more than 13 million vinyl long-playing albums were sold in the U.S.A.. The first half of 2015 is showing similar sales strength with more than 9 million LPs sold.
Here's another fact for you from Billboard Magazine, 3.6 percent of all albums sold in 2014 were on vinyl. To compare back in 2004, just 0.2 percent of all albums sold were on vinyl (1.2 million of 681.4 million).
