Janis Joplin Gone But Not Forgotten

It was today October 4th, 1970 that one of the great vocalists of all time Janis Joplin died from a drug overdose.  Such a sad thing to see a talented soul done in by such an evil element heroin.  We can only imagine what great music she would have given us.

Janis recorded four  studio albums in her career. Her first two albums were  with  Big Brother and the Holding Company and the later two being solo albums. "I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama!" in 1969 and the album she had just finished at the time of her death "Pearl"  which was released in January of 1971.
