Jim Morrison's legacy lives on 40 years after his death.  The Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger were at the Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris over the weekend visiting the grave of the late frontman.

Hundreds of fans also left flowers at Morrison's grave to mark the milestone, while others sang and read poems in honor of his memory.  It was in Paris in 1971 that Morrison died of heart failure.

The Doors' origins date back to Los Angeles in the mid-1960s.  The band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.  In recent years, Manzarek and Krieger have performed together.  The rockers play live next in Moscow, Russia on Thursday, July 7th.
