It may have been a long time since "Rock 'n' Roll," but Led Zeppelin fans may not have to wait much longer for something fresh from the iconic rockers. While there are no additional reunion plans in order, guitarist Jimmy Page insists in a new interview that he's been hard at work on something special for the band's 50th anniversary next year.

Speaking in a new video for the Academy of Achievement, Page addressed the upcoming half-century anniversary stating, "There'll be Led Zeppelin product coming out, for sure, that people haven't heard, because I'm working on that. Next year will be the 50th year, so there's all manner of surprises coming out."

Led Zeppelin have already reissued each of their studio albums with a wealth of previously unheard live and studio recordings, so it remains to be seen what the new offerings in 2018 will include. You can see more of Page's interview in the player above.

Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 in London and went on to release nine studio albums before splitting after drummer John Bonham's death in 1980. In the years since, the band reunited for a performance at Live Aid in 1985, at the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary show in 1988 and at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in 2007, with the latter appearance turning into the Celebration Day live album release in 2012.
