Equipment used by John Lennon in the studio he built and where he recorded "Imagine" is set for a May 11th online auction. The gear — including microphones, tape machines and Ringo Starr's coffee percolator — comes from the Ascot Sound Studios,

the Georgian manor that the former Beatle owned, and later sold to Ringo. The historic gear is expected to sell for at least $500,000. Also, an "acetate" disc (used for mastering recordings) on which all four Beatles etched their names is expected to sell for tens of thousands of dollars.
