They made it look easy. The Kansas City Royals swept the Baltimore Orioles in four straight games to advance to their first World Series since 1985! They completed the sweep with a 2-1 win yesterday in Kansas City. The Royals remained undefeated this post-season and now they rest and wait for the winner of the National League.

Royals' outfielder Lorenzo Cain won the 2014 ALCS Most Valuable Player award. He went 8-for-15 in the series, with two doubles and five runs scored.

Kansas City will square off against the winner of the St. Louis-San Francisco National League Championship Series at home in Game 1 of the 2014 World Series on Tuesday. Oct. 21.
